Jasper is a microcrystalline, very fine-grained quartz that, due to admixtures of iron and other minerals, exhibits extremely diverse patterns – from "oceanic" circles to leopard spots.
It is found worldwide. Jasper is considered a "supreme nurturer" that provides support during times of stress and instills tranquility. Depending on its pattern, it can have a strong grounding effect (root chakra) or a harmonizing effect.
